POLLEN ART

We need Pollen. We need pollinators. Without them, we would have a difficult time living on this planet. Plants are critical to many aspects of out survival…and new research is showing that consciousness in plant, is in fact, as aspect of horticulture.

Paying homage to the role pollen plays in our life has been both a life-ling awareness, and now a pursuit that shows up in the art I create.

In many of my creations, I weave microscopic photos of pollen that resemble hidden worlds of color, texture and wonder.

MANDALAS

Mandalas are thousands of years old, and have appeared in many contexts—most often affiliated with Buddhist practice and spirituality. A symbol of the universe in its ideal form, it is often used as an object of meditation, helping to envision the perfect self.

I have taken great liberties with traditional mandala design, infusing it with my own sense of spiritual center.
